TEAM GRENADINE: HOME BASE - DEC 25TH 20XX, 11:31 AM UCT
[ Welcome home, Grenadine! It was a long, hard fight but now you have time to rest. Eagle was tol busy arguing with Vodka to actually debrief you most of the morning, so you've been free to wander the base grounds. Most of it is destroyed though -- half collapsed or burned towers, a once large landscape garden which has been entirely burnt out, the recreation building full of unusable electronics and gym equipment and singed books and other such things. You've been told only to go as far out to the chapel, right outside the gates in order to keep a low profile, so you might as well have fun. ]
EAGLE'S DREAM
Okay, okay. So explain again what happened, this time with detail. Especially the part where Kahlua's half dead.
Re: EAGLE'S DREAM
...fine I guess I'll be a good soldier and report.]
As soon as we entered the elevator, Titania cut the line, and we crashed. We made our way to a command centre, where we met Kahlua. She warned us of a containment breach, and so we made our way forward, clearing out an office from an infestation of death mice.
Then a dragon attacked, and Kahlua shot herself in the back taking it down.
We repaired what damage we could and made our exit through the tunnel's in the dragon's cave, until we got to the elevator back here.

Germaine- Germaine!
[For the first time since any of you have met her, Violette is smiling, so wide and so bright, tears welling at the corner of her eyes.]

Oh—

Welcome back.
[Violette does hear Amaretto though, and looks up at her.]

But when she notices Shiraz staring, her smile falters, she makes brief eye contact before turning away to pet Germaine again.]

He can be found in the burnt-out garden, sitting on the ground fiddling with some charred rock or other. He's been picking them up and stacking them pointlessly.
He's lost in thought but not opposed to interactions. Somehow he's not following Amaretto but he's also not coming back on his own until he's called for.]

at some point when she's done being a swarm of bees (or at least come to the conclusion that just sitting still means way more time to think about the things that are already making her vibrate), she'll come by as she scouts out the base. ]
Oh— Shiraz.
[ wait ]
...I'm sorry, were you— did you want to be left alone?
